Can colour predict your career path?

The other day I came across a site that suggested colour can predict your career path; I was a bit sceptical but decided to give it a go. You rank the colours shown on the screen with the one you most prefer to look at, followed by the least.

The test itself is based on the multi-patented Dewey Colour System. It does seem like an easy process as the choices you make are then used to suggest what your best occupational category is. However the relationship between colour and career path can be incredibly precise.

My scepticism soon vanished once I got my results and if any of you know me you know this is spot on.

I am firstly a CREATOR and then a PERSUADER.

As a creator the results tell me that I am nonconforming, impulsive, expressive, romantic, intuitive, sensitive and emotional. These original types place a high value on aesthetic qualities and have a great need for self-expression. They enjoy working independently, being creative, using their imagination, and constantly learning something new.

Suggested careers are Advertising Executive, Architect, Web Designer, Creative Director, Public Relations, Fine or Commercial Artist, Interior Decorator, Lawyer, Librarian, Musician, Reporter, Art Teacher, Broadcaster, Technical Writer, English Teacher, Architect, Photographer, Medical Illustrator, Corporate Trainer, Author, Editor, Landscape Architect, Exhibit Builder, and Package Designer.

Secondly I am a persuader; the results say I am witty, competitive, sociable, talkative, ambitious, argumentative and aggressive. I can be somewhat aggressive if the kitchen is a mess and/or I’m drunk.

These enterprising types sell, persuade, and lead others. Positions of leadership, power, and status are usually their ultimate goal. Persuasive people like to take financial and interpersonal risks and to participate in competitive activities. They enjoy working with others inside organizations to accomplish goals and achieve economic success.

I believe these results pretty much sum me up, try it for yourself here and if you don’t believe your results then at least you will know what your favourite colour is.

The Bank Holiday weekend

Ok so this Bank Holiday i am not as excited as i would usually be but that is mainly because i am not going to be getting muddy, drunk or a little high at Creamfields! I am scared that this is the beginning of an adults Bank Holiday, whinging about the weather or seeing relatives.

Instead of listening to what is one of the best Creamfields line ups i have ever seen, my mum is wanting to drag me to a car boot sale, to get rid of my stuff and thus finally ejecting me from my childhood home. I might try and sell her and see how much i make. I could use all the money i get to make a last second attempt to attend on Sunday! Or maybe it is time to just accept that my summer of rave is over thanks to little funds and lack of organisation a while back.
